Kuwait First quarter birding 2015

It's been a while since i last posted a blog as I was very busy lately. Summer season has started and in no time we will have to bear the summer heat in Kuwait again :P Meaning.. less time to shoot outdoors :P

In this blog, i will be sharing my collection of migratory birds images taken during the first quarter of 2015. As usual, me and my photobuddies spent our friday mornings chasing birds as early as 4am :P we have discovered new areas not known to everyone. A place we can call Kuwait paradise where beautiful flowers bloom, grassy lawn and loads of birds. :)

Let me start by showing you some of my favorite images and information about them.
Earlier this year, there were plenty of birds in the gardens of kuwait. 2 of them are Common Starling and Eurasian Wryneck. Both were captured in Rumaithiya Garden.

This year, i am very happy to see loads of  European bee eaters in several locations such as salmiya, rumaithiya, abuhalifa, jahra, al salam area, funaitees etc...
Luckily, i also managed to capture a beautiful Rose ringed parakeet unexpectedly while shooting bee eaters somewhere in funaitees. :P

Common kestrel was also sighted this year
And got some good pictures of  Rufous-tailed scrub robin

It was a great day for birding in jahra reserve, some of my friends moved to kabad desert areas to search for special birds. Afterwards, I got a call from them saying they have found this beauty! - Eurasian Scops Owl

Over all, this year had given me so much enjoyment shooting birds. However, during one of our trips, we have encountered group of bird hunters, killing birds for fun :( I have seen a kestrel being shot in front of my eyes. I have lost my interest to shoot that day and just decided to return back home. :(

And lastly, during my recent trip to salmi, Al-Abraq Al-Khabari Farm, i am so happy to meet two French birders who came here in Kuwait to record & study the condition & count of the birds in a specific location.
